Welcome

Rebel Hearts are a five piece group from parishes within Tipperary. The band consists of Jamie Mockler, Tom Doran and Paudie Skehan from Moycarkey/Borris and Liam and Padraig Coen from Rossmore/Clonoulty. They have been together now for over 5 years and have enjoyed every minute of travelling around Ireland, England and Australia. The lads sing songs that tell the story of the struggle for freedom from the British establishment for over 800 years now. The boys sing with passion and a hunger to entertain you with the bold sound of the banjo and haunting sounds of the flute and many songs sung by Jamie, Tom and Paudie Coen. Rebel Hearts are the band that will have you on the edge of your seats wanting more. We hope you enjoy our website and hope to meet you for a drink someday, Please God.

As 2008 is up and running so too are the Rebel Hearts with an overwhelming demand for our music. This year takes us on our travels to the UK to continue to tell our story through the songs, poetry and music of our great history. Keep checking the tour dates on the website for details. Another great place to go on a weekend trip with the lads is Achill Island.. where many good friendships have been formed for life. This is what its all about.

You will be glad to hear that the lads will be returning to the recording studios to complete their third album which promises to be the best yet! A big thank you to all who bought CDs and fans who continue to spend their hard earned cash on supporting the boys across the country and the UK. Without your support Rebel Hearts would not exist. Otherwise the band is going extremly well and new songs are emerging every night. The band would like to thank the Hogan/Martin commemoration committee who were so kind to us and also the McShane family in Ballycastle for their hospitality.

Sean Mockler continues to be the engine behind the band, working hard to promote and in providing the lads with brilliant venues and media coverage with radio interviews to mention a few. Sean is greatly appreciated by the lads and would be more than delighed to talk with you if you have any querys or ideas for the band. That's just the way he is. A pure gent!

So go on now and check the band out.. Hope you enjoy our website.
